1. ACADEMIC STREAM :
The subjects for study include:
English
One of the Modern Indian Languages :
Manipuri
Hindi
Assamese
Bengali
Lushai
Or Alternative English
Note: Students may be allowed to appear in the Higher Secondary Examination in any Modern Indian Language included in the Curriculum of the Council even though the said language is not opened in the institution.
General Studies
Three Elective Subjects from any one of the following three groups in the manner as shown against each.

2. VOCATIONAL STREAM :
The Subjects under the Vocational Stream include-
|
A. Compulsory Group : |
One of the Modern Indian Languages :Manipuri, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Lushai Or Alternative English. |

B. Elective Group : Any one of the following Vocational Courses : |

|
C. Additional Subject: |
An elective subject from the Academic Stream may also be offered if the student so desires. |
Note : For compulsory group, A. 1. and A. 2, the syllabi as given in the Academic Stream shall be followed. For A. 3-TheGeneral Foundation Course shall consist of two parts :
Part-I, common to all vocational courses (to be taught preferably by a lecturer of commerce, Business Studies or Economics).
Part-II, relevant to the course (to be taught by the teachers of the
relevant vocational course).
“ On-the-Job Training", Wherever prescribed is compulsory.
3. INSTRUCTIONAL TIME :
There should be a minimum of 200 working days in a year. The duration of each period should be 45 minutes. The instructional period may be distributed as given below.

However, suitable modifications may be made by the head of the institutions may be made by the head of the institution.
The medium of instruction and examination for all subjects except language subjects, Music and Manipuri Dance shall be English. For language subjects the medium will be the concerned language. For Music, the medium will be Hindi or Manipuri. For Manipuri Dance the medium will be Manipuri
