NOTIFICATION
Imphal the 3rd December,2002
No.3/11/STA(2001) : In pursuance of the direction issued by the government of Manipur vide Notification No.14/3/99-T (MV) dated 26-10-2002,publish in the Manipur Gazette Extra- ordinary No.228 2nd November 2002 and also in exercise of the conferred under sub section 3 of the section 68 of the Motor Vehicle Act 1988 in super session of all previous notifications issued in this regard ,the State Transport Authority ,Manipur here by fixed the rates of passenger fares and fried charges of motor vehicles playing on road in Manipur with immediate effect.
PASSENGERS FARES:-
For all stage carriages playing in the state of Manipur other than city services , the fare chargeable shall be as ticketing system in the manner:
(a) Total distance travelled will be divided into 4(four)kms. Each.
(b) Fraction of a stage will be treated as 1(one) stage.
(c) No stage system in case of city/ Mini Bus up to 20 (twenty) kms. (city service within 20 kms. radius )
(d) Minimum fare will be Rs. 2.00.
(e) Fare will be calculated by rounding off above 50 p as Rs.1.00 and less than 50 p to be neglected.
(f) Pre-printed tickets shall be used.

| 1. Heavy Buses ( Ordinary) Express Bus will charge 50 p for every 10 kms over the above rates. Express Bus will drop/picked up passengers at an interval of not less than 10 kms |
