Thata, Vadi, Samvadia Pakada, Theka, Dugun.

2. Raga varnam of the following 8 (eight) ragas :
 Kedar, Behag, Tilak Kamod, Bageshwari,Jaunpuri,
Sohini,Bhoopali,Brindabani sarang

15 Marks
 

3. Contribution and short life sketch of Pt. Vishnu
Digambar and Pt. V. N. Bhatkhande

 5 Marks
 

4. Writing in notation of songs and talas prescribed for Class XI.

PRACTICAL

1. (a) One Drut Khyal or One Lakshan Geet with simple
  elaboration in each raga prescribed for class XI.
(b) One Bilambit Khyal in a prescribed Raga.
(c) One Dhrupada with Dugun in a prescribed Raga
 
(5X3)=15 Marks
2. One patriotic song and two Devotional songs or
  Bhajan from the saints/poets of India.
 
(5 x 3) = 15 Marks
3 Ability to sing Aroha-Abaroba, Pakad and simple
 swara bistar with Alap and Tan in the prescribed Ragas.
 
5 Marks
4. Ability to recognise the prescribed Ragas from the
 passage of swaras sung by the teacher/ examiner.
 
10 Marks
5. The following Talas and their Thekas: Ektala, Adachoutala,
Deepchandi, Jhaptala, Chautala and Tritala.

6.  Preliminary knowledge of tuning the Tanpura. 5 Marks

 Antara, Sudha, Sayalag, Sankirna Jaati,
Nibadha-Anibadha, Ashrai, Raga,Adhwa darshak swar.

2. Raga Varnan of the following 8 (eight) Ragas :
Hamir, Kalingara, Malraus, Peelu, Desh,
Pooriadharshri, Tori, Bhimpalasin.
 
15 Marks
3. Contribution and short life sketch of Tansen
and Amir Khusrau.

4.  Writing in notation of the prescribed songs. 15 Marks

PRACTICAL

(b) One Balambit khyal in the prescribed raga with tans and bister.
(c) One Dhrupada and one Dhamar with Dugan
and Trigun in the prescribed Raga.
