The inscribed stone
monument known as Konthoujam Lairemma Inscription is located in
Konthoujam village which is around 12 kms to the west of Imphal on N.H.
53. The texture of the stone is of medium fine sandstone type. |

Like the Heisnam Lairemma
Inscription the script on this inscribed stone is both in the literary
as well as in common dialect form written in archaic Meitei script.

The inscribed text
comments on the well-placed qualities of the shrine of Konthoujam
Lairembi, and also mentions of the favours of the King to faithful
followers who were committed in their worship of the diety. |

The date of inauguration
of the temple is not mentioned in the inscribed text, whereas the
names of Khagemba Maharaj and Charairongba Maharaj are mentioned here,
probably in paying obeisance to the memory of the Kings. The area
under protection is 13.50 x 9 sq.m. |
